Camille  A. "Cam" Morvant

Lafourche Parish District Attorney

Juvenile

Programs are available to juveniles to prevent children from going to court and to discourage future criminal and disorderly behavior.  These programs include PTI (Pre-Trial Intervention) and VIP (Violence Intervention Program).

We also have a Truancy program which is aimed at parents who do not send their kids to school.  This is called the D.A.T.E. program (District Attorney's Truancy Enforcement).  This is done in conjunction with the Lafourche Parish School Board and the FINS program (Families in Need of Services) with help from the Sheriff's office.

Furthermore, we have obtained the necessary funding for Juvenile Drug Court.

If you have any questions regarding these programs, please contact the Juvenile department at: (985) 447-2003.
